It's EASY to be green!
Would you like to have a part in building an earth sheltered demonstration home? This project centers on the construction of a truly green earth sheltered residence and classrooms to serve as a living example of proven Passive Annual Heat Storage (PAHS) principles.

You will be able to visit us in person, experience for yourself the continuously comfortable environment and take a class or two in applying Passive Annual Heat Storage to your own home. The data collected during construction, fine tuning and maintenance will be published live for you on the Web.

The Arizona Project will be far more than just an underground house. Form will flow seamlessly with function and the natural environment to deliver the most beautiful earth sheltered home ever. Prime architectural concepts developed by the leading architects of the 20th Century will be set in harmony with a genuinely rational approach to building.

Would you like to participate by way of your comments, suggestions or a donation? Now you can!

Why Arizona?

Donations

Did you know Arizona’s high desert experiences both extremes in weather? The Project home will be thoroughly tested under conditions ranging from days of freezing cold and snow to blistering 115 degree (F) heat waves with high winds.

What better way to show for all to see the eminent practicality of Passive Annual Heat Storage (PAHS) principles in an age of increasingly expensive energy? Even in Arizona, it’s EASY being green.
